Conscious Sedation! Celia had her latest “dose” this week (she’d recommend it to anyone!) and it occurs to me that the information given is copious and useful but there is information which could be useful to the partners!

1) A Plus is that the partner is probably in for a hilarious 12 hours or so when the patient is on another planet and has a temporary new career as a stand-up comedian.

2) A Negative is that the partner should expect every question to be repeated at least twice – and then every question asked again next day!

3) The strange thing is that, during this recovery period from the sedation, the patiient appears to be perfectly “normal” – until the partner realises next day that nothing of the conversations has been remembered!
