Kate, her husband and two young children, relocated to Cornwall from Dunfermline in Scotland in 2016, initially hoping for a warmer climate!
Kate joined the practice as a dentist but has more recently focused on providing facial aesthetics. Kate qualified as a dentist in 2000 from Glasgow university with honours and quickly realised she had an interest in aesthetics.
She has attended many cosmetic courses, ranging from tooth whitening to smile design. Her interest in providing cosmetic dentistry and having the skills to rebuild her patients smiles naturally lead her to start providing facial aesthetics.
In 2008 Kate attended her first facial aesthetics course on anti-wrinkle treatments. Along with the normal anti-wrinkle treatments, Kate has studied the 8-point lift technique pioneered by a ‘renowned’ Brazilian plastic surgeon Taimur Shoaib. This technique is a fantastic way of providing a non-surgical treatment to leave you feeling rejuvenated. Kate has attended many soft tissue aesthetics courses and is consistently updating her skills and knowledge by keeping up with the latest technology, methods and materials available, to help her to provide patients with their desired look.
Many people ask why dentists are best suited to provide facial aesthetics, the answer is simple; they spend years learning facial anatomy and their whole practicing career is based on giving painless injections into highly sensitive areas of the face! Cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics go hand in hand; when you smile, your teeth, lips and eyes all play a part. With Kate’s expertise and experience, you can be confident that you will achieve your desired look and be in very safe hands.
