Advanced dental implants in Cornwall

We have been providing top-quality dental implants at our surgery in Truro, Cornwall, for over a decade.

Implant dentistry does more than improve your smile – it restores facial structure by supporting muscles, lips and cheeks, which is especially beneficial for patients missing multiple teeth.

A missing tooth upsets the natural equilibrium in your mouth and can negatively impact your confidence. If you’ve lost a back tooth it may not be noticeable when you talk or smile, but the biting force on the remaining teeth begins to change to compensate, and you may experience discomfort. Dental implants offer comfort and stability and are the closest thing to natural teeth.

Our expert dental implant treatment delivers a permanent natural appearance to give you back your self-esteem. If you want to renew your confidence and you’re considering dental implants, give our friendly team a call and begin your dental implant journey with the expert team at Pure Dental today.

What is a dental implant and why might i need one?

A dental implant is a long-term solution for replacing one or more missing teeth. It involves placing an implant into the jaw, which acts as a secure base for a natural-looking replacement tooth.

You may consider an implant if missing teeth are making everyday things harder, like eating, speaking clearly, or feeling confident when you smile.

Dental implants look and feel like natural teeth, and with good care they can last for many years.

what are dental implants?

The benefits of dental implants?

Dental implants come with a wide range of benefits, from small everyday improvements to bigger long term advantages, all of which can make a real difference to your confidence and overall oral health.

  • Freedom to eat what you want and chew properly, helping you enjoy a healthier, more varied diet.
  • Helps improve comfort and oral function. Missing teeth can lead to jaw shrinkage over time and put extra strain on the remaining teeth.
  • Durability, dental implants can last a lifetime with proper care.
  • Dental implants have a natural appearance, designed to look and function like your existing teeth.
Pure Dental New Patients First Step

How is an implant fitted and what is the process?

The dental implant process starts with an initial consultation at our clinic in Truro, Cornwall. You’ll meet the team and the dentist who will carry out your treatment, talk through your needs, and explain the process clearly.

Most patients need around 3–4 appointments:

  1. Consultation & planning
  2. Implant placement (with local anaesthetic or sedation if needed)
  3. Healing review
  4. Final crown fitting

Depending on your treatment plan, you may be fitted with a temporary tooth so you can leave with a smile in place while everything heals. If you feel nervous, we also offer support for dental anxiety to keep things calm and comfortable.

Dental Implants FAQs

Implants are small titanium posts, which replace the root of the natural tooth and are used to anchor replacement teeth like crowns, bridges or even full mouth restorations and dentures.
