Layla's experience
Layla qualified as a dental nurse in January 2018, gaining a national diploma accredited by the NEBDN. As someone who prides herself on her work, she enjoyed how well the course set her up to demonstrate the highest standards of dental nursing.
Layla started at Pure in November 2020 and is really enjoying working with likeminded and dedicated professionals. Layla assists with cosmetic and restorative dentistry and works alongside Graham Campbell; Pure’s very own Dentist with a special interest in Endodontic treatments.
Layla has been with Pure for 3 years and finds every aspect of her job interesting; especially assisting with root canal treatments and apicectomy’s. Layla loves playing a part in helping patients gain their confidence back, whether it be from cosmetic fillings to teeth whitening to saving teeth with a root canal, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing patients be proud of their smiles.
As a keen learner, Layla often exceeds her yearly target for CPD. This year she put special focus on safeguarding, infection control and oral cancer.
Layla has also gained a qualification in Dental radiography so is able to assist with taking OPG’s and CBCT scans.
When not at work Layla can often be found at home with her fiancé and her menagerie of animals which include: three rabbits, two Ragdoll cats, two hamsters, a Crested Gecko, a Royal Jumping Spider, and last but not least two fresh water fish tanks and a marine tank! When not at home with the mini zoo she enjoys a relaxing holiday in the sun, cooking Italian food and spending time with family and friends.
