Martyna's experience
Martyna graduated with a degree in Dentistry from the University of Plymouth, where she developed a strong connection to the South West of England. In her final year, she won the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Dental Skills Competition and proudly represented her university in the national finals held in Edinburgh.
Passionate about all aspects of dentistry, Martyna is particularly committed to supporting anxious patients. She focuses on building trust and alleviating dental fears to create a positive and reassuring treatment experience. To further enhance patient comfort, she is trained in providing intravenous sedation for those requiring additional support.
Martyna’s clinical experience includes her role as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Department at the Royal Cornwall Hospital. In this position, she developed skills in managing facial trauma, performing minor oral surgeries, and supporting patients undergoing oral cancer treatment—refining her capabilities in handling complex and sensitive cases. During this time, she also gained significant experience and confidence in the assessment and surgical removal of wisdom teeth.
Dedicated to continuous professional development, Martyna has completed advanced training in removable aligner therapy using the ClearCorrect system (2021), as well as occlusion and bite mechanics through the IAS Academy under Ian Buckle (2023). Her primary area of interest is periodontology—the study and treatment of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Periodontology (2024) from the University of Plymouth and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the field.
She is passionate about incorporating the latest techniques into patient care and has trained under renowned periodontist Dr. Rana Al-Falaki, advancing her skills in both YSGG laser therapy for minimally invasive gum treatments and traditional periodontal surgery (2024–2025). In addition, she has completed further laser training with Mark Cronshaw and Steven Parker, extending her expertise beyond periodontal applications.
Outside of dentistry, Martyna leads a vibrant and well-rounded life. A classically trained violinist, she also enjoys watersports, home renovation projects and arts & crafts. When the weather allows, you may even find her exploring the countryside on her motorbike. At home, she enjoys relaxing with her beloved cat, whose company she treasures as a comforting balance to her busy professional life.
