Ruth's experience
Ruth’s dental career started in 1995 as a trainee dental nurse at a practice in Forfar, Scotland. After gaining her National Certificate in Dental Nursing she then went on to study Dental Hygiene at Dundee Dental Hospital, achieving a Diploma in Dental Hygiene December 1999. She was also awarded the Tayside University Hospital Trust Academic award for achieving the highest examination marks in her year.
Ruth moved to Cornwall in January 2000 to start her Dental Hygienist career. She upheld a position at a practice in Helston for 25 years before joining the team at Pure Dental in February 2025. Ruth is delighted to be part of the team and really enjoys working to her full scope of practice.
She is particularly passionate about tailoring each patient’s journey to their individual oral health needs. Working together with them to achieve a healthy ,comfortable mouth.
Outside of work Ruth loves to be with her family and their dogs, exploring Cornwall or curled up with a good book
