Millie has always had a keen interest in working in the dental environment. She qualified as a dental nurse in September 2021 through an apprenticeship from which she trained both in surgery and on reception, shortly afterwards Millie joined the team at Pure. Millie says that she loves being able to see how it works from both sides, which she believes adds to providing the best patient care.
Since being at Pure, Millie’s confidence interacting with patients has excelled greatly and she feels valued as a member of staff. Millie also believes that being a receptionist is such an important role in the practice as reception staff are the first faces seen and the first people spoken to.
She particularly loves being able to help nervous patients feel at ease about treatments and finds it rewarding seeing them become more confident each time they attend.
Millie’s role also includes nursing with the hygienist, which has always been an interest of hers and something that she is keen to work towards with her career in future. Pure also has many opportunities for further qualifications with training courses and Millie is excited to learn and progress with her work.
In her spare time Millie enjoys cooking, camping, spending time with family, friends and her two cats.
